I am sitting here in Long Island looking at the last bits of the latest snowfall and waiting patiently to see the first peek of daffodils popping through the ground. When those little yellow “faces” appear, we know we made it through another winter.

It was a nice winter, though, and I hope it was for you, too. There is nothing better than snuggling under a quilt, fire in the fireplace and “honkering down” to a good book. It is the perfect season to be still and enjoy some much needed quiet time. I am not sure it is the most productive season but it sure is the most reflective.  Was it for you?

I read a verse in 1 Thessalonians that seem to sum up this quiet season.

“Aspire to live quietly and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands.” 1 Thess. 4:11

I am reminded that it is in these quiet times that I hear God speaking to me the most. Now, I am sure He speaks to me other times, but maybe I listen more when it is quiet. Do you experience that in your quiet moments? Or maybe, as I am approaching a “significant” birthday year, I am more willing to listen and I appreciate His Wisdom all the more!

As winter ends and spring begins, this new season brings an excitement for warmer weather, new beginnings and some fresh new ideas from Lilly Charleston. We have some beautiful new fabrics, new products and some unique new patterns.  We have added cute diaper covers for your sweet little ones and a new line of dresses and outfits for your “sugarplums”! I added linen to our fabrics – it is 50% cotton (for the softness) and 50% linen for that classic look and feel and IT IS WASHABLE!

I am so excited about our new fabrics and products and hope you will be too. They will be posted on the website each week as they become available.  I would love your feedback! As always, I would love to hear from you with any suggestions, comments or ideas you may have.

Can’t wait to see what God has planned in the months ahead.

Thanking Him for the wonder that He brings to us in each new season,
