Happy Summer Days!

June is a month filled with fun, celebration and love! Not only is it the month that we celebrate our Dads and the other important men in our life, but we also celebrate the end of another school year and the official beginning of summer. YEA! Let the fun begin!

Can I just take a moment, too, to honor and thank the teachers in our children’s lives? They pour so much of themselves into our children and many of them make a lifelong impact on our kiddo-s. Thank you to all of these hardworking, life changing “angels” who are called teachers. We are grateful for you!

As you begin this glorious season of rest, fun, connecting with family and chasing lightening bugs, I pray you will have some margin in your life to slow down and be still. Savor the “no agenda” days and thank God for this season.

“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven”.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

And Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads, Uncles, Grandpas, Mentors and other important fellas in our lives. If your Dad is celebrating Father’s Day in heaven, I hope you will take the time to reflect on him, along with the joy and the lessons he brought into your life.

I fondly remember my Dad, who may not have told me often that he loved me, but showed it in his commitment to our family and the hard work he did every day to provide a home for us.  I will always be grateful for the life lessons that he taught me through living a life of commitment and integrity. These are life lessons that “cannot be googled” but are learned through example.

I cannot say enough about the Dads of today! These amazing guys are a “hands-on” group of Dads that actively participate in every area of their children’s lives. From changing diapers to staying home with the children when mom works outside the home to learning the names of “Paw Patrol” and “Fancy Nancy”! They do whatever they can to love their wives as she parents their children, too. I love

that! Please know you are such a blessing and that your love will live on in the generations yet to come.

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word…”

Ephesians 5:25

Thank you too, for the loving Grandads, Uncles, Step-Dads and Mentors in our lives. We are all so grateful for you and the lasting impact you have in the lives of our precious children.

And remember, we have a heavenly Father who is with us always.

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Deuteronomy 73:23

He created you and walks besides us every moment, holding our hand through the hard times and dancing with us through the happy times. He knows us even better than we know ourselves. It’s true!! He is the Father we are to honor and celebrate every day! Every day is Father’s Day as we live to glorify Him!

“How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from the river of delights.”

Psalm 36:7

Blessings,

Gwynne

Happy Father’s Day to my Dad.
